In het Nations League duel tussen Malta en Kosovo heeft Avdijaj laten zien ook in het shirt van zijn nationale ploeg te kunnen schitteren. Avdijaj mocht in de zeventigste minuut invallen en had er tien minuten later twee in liggen.
